Everybody desires a PC which runs the way we want. I bet these easy tips will boost your PC with fast interface and quick reaction time.

I am going to tell you some of the tips which I do when my PC gets slower or starts lagging. It doesn't need much time to use these simple tips, nor does it requires efforts, but it will surely increase the performance of your computer.

Tips to Increase the Speed of your Computer:

.) First of all, don’t ever get your desktop filled with shortcuts, folders or files. Keep your desktop as clean as possible. Don’t place shortcuts on your desktop, just run them from their sources or from start menu. This would immensely speed up your startup process.

.) Keep your C: drive clean and defragmented. I generally prefer not to install programs on drive C: for the reason that this is the drive which contains important OS files and whatever space which left in the local drive is used by Virtual Memory, automatically.

.) If you run internet regularly, then keep the habit of cleaning cache, history and cookies regularly. You can find the option of cleaning these unnecessary data in your browser easily.

.) Worms, viruses and malwares are very general issues due to which your computer runs slow, so keep your Antivirus Up to date, update your antivirus regularly.

.) Practice to clear temporary files regularly. Temporary files are those files which are created by the usage of the computer and by running internet. These files are not important and I suggest to remove these files frequently. You can delete temporary files in these simple steps, Go to Run, enter %temp% in the box ,click on ok then clear all files/folders of that Folder.

.) Use Disk Defragmenter and Disk Cleanup on a regular basis.

.) Don’t install unnecessary programs and software as they can seize a large amount of space on your hard disk. Uninstall all the needless programs, tools and softwares, it could help in regaining your speed, back.

.) Delete the contents of “Recent Places” on daily basis.

.) For speeding up the booting time, disable any useless startup programs from MSConfig utility.

.) Delete the contents of your recycle bin to gain further disk space.

.) Use Teracopy to increase the speed of copying files and folders.

.) Increase the speed of internet by using external DNS servers such as OpenDNS.

.) If you want best performance, you have to compromise with the appearance of your PC. Select “Adjust for best performance” option. For doing this, Go to My Computer settings click on Advance System Settings Tab, Then go to performance settings in Advanced tab, tick on Adjust for Best Performance. This will make the appearance bad but it will definitely increase your computer’s performance.
